First day back at work after 2 weeks off....what a killer getting up at 0600hr!!! But it wasn't too bad and managed to leave at 1530hr after starting at 0730hr. Energy levels and mood good today despite being tired, (due to lack of sleep last night). Always happens before going back to work..don't like going to bed too early in case I lie awake tossing and turning thinking about the next day. Should sleep ok tonight....but only after my fix of "Nip/Tuck"!!! Such a hilarious show!!
Ate well and stuck rigidly to my plan with better portion control...even had the 6 hard boiled egg whites with my salad for lunch...these are pretty gross I reckon. Sometimes I feel like dry reaching just trying to get them down...but if I don't think about it, it helps!! I just know they are so packed with protein and therefore so good for me!!! Besides, haven't had them since before Christmas.
Went straight to the gym after work and did a 10 minute light warm up on the elliptical before my weights session....chest, shoulders and back. By the way...I have a HUGE case of DOMS today in my quads and butt after yesterday's record breaking session!! Such a good feeling!! Gym was really busy though. Finished up with another 10 minutes on the elliptical, then a 60 minute fast walk with Bonnie and Dan.
Well..off to work again tomorrow and Wednesday...then heading down to the peninsula with Dan on Thursday for one night..should be good, weather's going to be hot!!

Hi Jude!
Yup, the early starts are NO GOOD after a holiday! I can relate, I get up at 4.40 to be at gym by 5.20 so I can get done and be at work by 7. The things we do!
Well done on sticking to your plan! Don't know if I could do the 6 eggwhites on their own, though....you are a braver woman than I!
Cheers
Carolyn

Congrats on starting your new challenge straight away after feeling so low at the end of your last one. I can relate, but have not managed to be as enthusiastic about this new challenge yet, keep up the good work.
